Teenagers and Technology- what you need to know if your child uses an electronic device

Csts. Harris and Follett are investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit- Newfoundland and Labrador (CFSEU-NL ICE) and will discuss the mandate of the CFSEU-NL ICE unit, including what is child pornography and internet luring, the dangers faced by youth using electronic devices including criminal consequences for sharing intimate photographs and some common social media applications, and tips for keeping your child safe. If time permits we will discuss some successes of our office, locally, nationally, and internationally.
