Adopt a School Program

The Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest announced in May 2009 that it had adopted Virginia Park Elementary as an ongoing Community Service project.

Our Club has a longstanding relationship with this school and are happy to help the school develop the whole child. In that vein, the Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest has, in the past, made multi-year financial commitments to Virginia Park Elementary to enable them to further develop their children through the Literacy and Music Programs. We have helped purchase a sound system, gymnasium risers, and most recently we have helped with the Band Program. Along with the financial commitment, our members will become involved with the school helping out at various activities throughout the school year (sweat equity!). In May 2009 we were excited to formally commit to the growth of our Adopt a School Program at Virginia Park Elementary.
