Rotarian Vincent Benjamin Burton
January 20, 1934 - October 11, 2026
The Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest is saddened to share that our honorary member, Paul Harris Fellow, and Rotary True Rotarian Award recipient, Vincent “Vince” Burton, passed away on October 11, 2026, at age 92.
Vince lived a remarkable life guided by kindness, integrity, and service to others. Through his work in aviation, tourism, conservation, and community service, he made a lasting contribution to Newfoundland and Labrador. His life reflected the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.
Above all, Vince was a devoted family man. His love for his late wife, Dorothy, and his pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were at the heart of his life. He set a beautiful example of honesty, generosity, and respect.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of St. John’s Northwest, we extend our deepest condolences to our fellow Rotarian Jim Burton, his wife Dera, and the entire Burton family.
We are grateful for Vince’s life, his service, and the legacy he leaves behind. We will remember him with warmth and affection.
